Rabit’s Top 7 Songs With ‘War’ In The Title
by Rabit on Sep.01, 2011, under The Top 7 of Everything
I was looking through my playlists the other day and realised that I have a lot of songs with ‘war’ in the title. Read into that what you will, but here’s a short list of my top 7.
7. Bob Dylan – Masters Of War
A little hippyfied, but gotta have some Bob Dylan in a music list, so here he his propping up position 7. Plus I couldn’t think of any other good songs with ‘War’ in the title.
6. Liquid Tension Experiment – Three Minute Warning
Not technically the word ‘war’ in the title, but it’s there in spirit. LTE are without a doubt a great asset to the rock world, and here’s one of their greats. Definitely the longest song in this list at 28 minutes long.
5. Dream Theater – Prophets of War
I’ve been a massive Dream Theater fan for years, so how could I leave them out of this list. From their album ‘Systematic Chaos’.
4. Rise Against – Hero of War
Rise Against, have to love them for being chosen to have the honour of knocking the shite-factor off the Christmas number one the other year. [Edit] No it wasn’t, that’s my bad: band confusion there! lol
3. 30 Seconds to Mars – This Is War
Absolutely one of my favourite songs at the moment, not as good as the next two, but Jared Leto does rock.
2. Poets of the Fall – War
A brilliant song off their 2010 album ‘Twilight Theater’ and probably my second favourite Poets song.
1. Sabaton – The Art of War
Excellent song from an even better album, definitely worth a listen.

Great list mate, loving the fact that Sabaton and Poets of The Fall got the top spots, but it was Rage Against The Machine, not rise against who knocked the Twat-Factor off Xmas number one!

The cool thing with the Poets of The Fall song is that it was also in Alan Wake 🙂

Yes, Carnival of Rust was too wasn’t it? I think I’ll have to buy Alan Wake, sounds good from your review 🙂
