Waterworld on the SNES was based on the film of the same name in 1995 whereby the setting of the film is in the distant future. The polar ice cap has completely melted, and the sea level has risen over covering nearly all of the land. The plot of the film is on “The Mariner”, a drifter who sails the Earth in his trimaran. Personally I didn’t think this film was particularly good so I had zero expectations for this game. So the game is part isometric shooter, with swimming levels and run-and-gun style levels and all in all, it’s pretty crap! And you’ll be pleased to know, there no drinking of pee!
