Soulcalibur 2 is the second of the Soulcalibur games and the third installment in the ‘Soul’ series (tales of soul and sword, eternally retold!) on the Playstation 2.

Got this as a new pickup last month and after I said I’d never played any of the other ‘Soul’ games after Soulblade, I felt I had to give this one a go! Like Soulblade, each of the warriors are questing for the Souledge, a mysterious and powerful weapon.

Beautiful looking game with fluid and strategic combat, I don’t know why I never got into any of the other games! I’ve given Xianghua a go as Li Long sadly appears to be missing, but I also knocked down the rounds to win to a single battle so that I didn’t go on all night!
