I have heard so much about Final Fight and obvious comparisons are made between this and Streets of Rage. However growing up with a SEGA, I never really played this game… until now. Originally pencilled in as Street Fighter ’89, and produced by Capcom this could be a Street Fighter but scrolling? I’m intrigued.

So Final Fight is set in Metro City, where mayor Mike Haggar’s daughter Jessica is kidnapped by the criminal organisation ‘Mad Gears’ and you play as either Haggar or Jessica’s boyfriend Cody, the latter later appearing in Street Fighter’s Alpha series. Personally, this game is stupid hard and the controls really didn’t lend itself to being a smooth game to play. The enemies are stupidly hard and you rinse through lives like crazy!
