Recently, I bought and downloaded some sheet music for the piano, I’ve been after a copy of “Faithfully” by Journey as it’s an amazing song and I’d love to learn to play it on the piano. However, upon printing my music I noticed something very disturbing on the front page. Instead of crediting Journey as the artist (although it did say it was written by Journey pianist Jonathan Cain), I was mortally dismayed to see the sentence “from Glee”. “What the f—?” I thought scribbling the atrocity out with a marker pen, I know those wailing nobheads murdered “Don’t Stop Believin” in quite abysmal fashion but surely they haven’t killed ANOTHER classic by Journey have they? Yes, unfortunately they have.

Curiosity consumed me and I went to have a look on YouTube to see if this was in fact true. Oh how my ears bleed….and not in the good way. The rendition they did of arguably one of the greatest rock ballads of all time came pouring through my computer speakers like a rancid custard liberally applied to a fetid pudding. How can they continue to utterly murder a decent song? There’s plenty of shite R’n’B to kill but why shat all over the brilliant songs? I honestly wouldn’t mind if they did it justice but quite frankly it sounds so completely shite! But it gets worse than that, because if that wasn’t enough, after their cacophony of Faithfully finished I had another aneurysm as the bars of my FAVOURITE Journey song started leaking out…yes they have also KILLED Any Way You Want It. NOOOO!!!!! But in typical Glee style it also has all the “dum dum dum” backing vocals almost making fun of the original song. And to make it worse, they fused it with Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin‘ too! HOW DARE YOU!!!

I can’t believe how they have perpetually damaged my hearing and sanity by this constant annihilation of my favourite songs. Yes you can argue that I should just avoid it if it antagonises me so but when I see all credit for my favourite songs go towards prepubescent r-tards it does make me kinda angry! The next time I buy sheet music by an amazing band, I do not want to see that its credited from Glee because quite frankly they have done more than enough damage.

That’s FOUR songs now Glee have murdered by Journey….please kindly fuck off. Murder times four makes it Genocide, and we all know genocide is not cool kids. To reiterate a previous post, Rise Against showed how to do justice to a Journey song, Glee are just cunts.
