Condemned 2: Online Throwing Matches

As today is Bear’s birthday (Happy Birthday me ol’ mucker) I thought I would tell you about increasing your multiplayer experience on Condemned 2. This is an idea of which Bear, Ette and myself created while playing a deathmatch on Condemned 2:Bloodshot. We did notice that in the melee deathmatches, any player holding an axe, sledgehammer or shovel has a distinct advantage over weaker weapons such as a toilet seat, drive shaft or brick. Needless to say really, but the massive gulf between these “heavy weapons” compared to the smaller ones or even the fists was so great it just wasn’t fun. A bit like the Rail Gun in Quake 2, one person picks that up and everyone else is pretty much dead and it’s not very fair.
Graves is more of a shovel thrower, Bear is definitely a toilet seat sniper!
So after a period of messing about we realised that pressing the RB button causes your character to throw the weapon instead of wield it. Not only does this make it more fair, as for the first fifteen minutes we kept missing each other, this adds a completely new dimension to what would normally be a rather monotonous drudge through an average multiplayer deathmatch. You can carry two weapons at once and you’re not allowed to hit people with the weapons, only throw.
Condemned 2 has an interesting system whereby players low on health will stand disorientated with a spinning head when their health becomes low, a lot like Mortal Kombat and pretty much the next hit will choose to be fatal. Allow me to dictate how hysterically funny this is when you throw a toilet seat at their head to finish them off! I personally was in stitches! Finishing moves are fine, because it’s still in the spirit, although I personally prefer throwing stupid things!
I tried doing this in a normal multiplayer with randoms but everyone didn’t want to play along instead beat me to death with their overpowered weapons because they’re all over competitve virgins who are solely focused on racking up their kill score. Personally I find it more important to have fun when playing online, rather than just tyring to prove you’re the best!
So go on, all owners of Condemned 2: Bloodshot, if you see either Synyster Graves, SuperBear1983 or SuperEtte1984 in your deathmatch, come throw a shovel our way and join in the fun! We can’t be bothered to run around blocking and hitting people with melee weapons, come join the lobbing wars!!

I must concur, throwing matches are HILARIOUS. It adds a measure on uncertainty to it. You can have one character armed with one weapon and on low health defeat a character armed with two heavy duty weapons and full health. It is challenging, thrilling, unpredictable and oh so fun.
