Synyster Graves

Meet The Team

Staff Writers

Synyster Graves

Synraptor/Synyster Graves

Graves is the self appointed leader of the group and overall achievement fiend. Specialising in the genre of fucking around, Graves encourages Team Sly into battle with over the top A-Team style tactics and general mayhem. When not spending late nights battling for legendary status on Rock Band, Graves is teaming up with Rabit on other Sandbox projects like Red Dead Redemption, Saints Row 2, Borderlands and is also the other guitarist in our Rock Band 2 band. Graves writes the majority of the games reviews on the site as well as all the other articles related to games, football, stupid people and of course, the Top Sevens!

Whyte Rabit

Whyte Rabit

Rabit is Graves’ perennial partner in the Xbox conquests as the two of them have decimated many co-op sandbox titles together. When he’s not driving sports cars up vertical surfaces or jumping out of flying objects, Rabit is Team Sly’s FPS/TPS specialist, having destroyed the Gears of War, Call of Duty and Halo series on the hardest difficulty. Rabit is also the guitarist and founding member of Team Sly’s Rock Band 2 group The Sound That Hell Makes. Aside from gaming, Rabit is also our film specialist and you can read all his film reviews in his own column; Further down the Rabit Hole.

Corneja Negra

Corneja Negra

Rabit’s wife is our culinary expert who specialises in providing recipes for cooking total idiots. When not devising decicious recipes, Negra is our singer in our online band as well as Rabit’s split screen co-op partner.

Bear

Bear

Bear is our film critic who specialises in old movies giving the website an extra dimension from Rabit’s hilarious modern film reviews. Unlike the rest of us, Bear is very well spoken and eloquent as can be seen in his film reviews in his column, Bear Goes Back In Time. In gaming, Bear, like his wife Ette, is one of our Left 4 Dead elites and has a bizzarre obsession with winding up and taking on the Witch Zombies. With an M16 in hand, Bear will charge into the hordes fearlessly and amusingly. Bear also has an inane habit of winding up the authorities in sandbox games and has graduated from the same school of fucking about in Grand Theft Auto like Graves is.

Ette

Ette

Ette is Bear’s wife and like her husband is also one of our Left 4 Dead specialists, specifically in the Scavenge mode. Ette represents a more patient approach to our gaming tactics, suggesting a more calculated attack as opposed to Bear and Graves’ gung-ho attitudes. It is this quality that makes Ette a specialist in forensic and crime games. Ette now also has her own column called “The World According to Ette”.

The KING

King

King is our retro specialist from his expertise in platform games and vast collection of 8-bit and 16-bit hardware. King’s knowledge of american wrestling also makes him our Smackdown specialist but his skills really lie in the vast destruction of all the Mario and Sonic franchises. Got any retro gaming challenges or ideas for retroLOLs? Email them here

Matty Rasker

MattyRasker

Distinguishable from his contagious laughter, MattyRasker is one of the four originals in Team Sly from the GTA online days. MattyRasker is also our heavy weapons specialist and favours blowing large holes in the scenery over stealth and subtlety. MattyRasker like King is also a retro specialist with a plethora of titles from the original Nintendo and Playstation titles (very fond memories of playing lots of Quake 2 on the PS1 round his house in our teenage years). MattyRasker is also one the trio of Modern Warfare specialists like Tribal and Rabit as many hours a week are spent gunning down hapless players on the PS3. A musical genius by trade, MattyRasker writes and produces his own video game inspired music on his website here.

Ette

Tribal Warfare

Tribal is the equivalent of Murdock in the A-Team, an insane helicopter pilot who takes the necessary risks to achieve goals. You can’t describe Tribal without mentioning the Call of Duty series as Tribal essentially is a pro. Tribal serves as our commanding officer in war games as his general guile and presence on the battlefield makes him an asset. When he’s not shooting people online, Tribal is also the drummer for The Sound That Hell Makes, although the microphone is usually confiscated when he wants to sing Bad Company’s “Shooting Star”, or Steve Miller Band’s “The Joker”.
